Life is Beautiful. And, this weekend, it’s even more so thanks to the massive three-day festival taking over Downtown Las Vegas. A meeting of music, art, minds and food, this event packs DTLV with all the goodness.

While there are around 50 options for food, it is decidedly less if you’re vegan. Who’s got what?

We’ve put together a vegan food guide to Life is Beautiful with our favorite options for plant-based options. Please note: this information is subject to change without notice.

LUNCH/DINNER

50 Shades of Green:  Vegan Power Salad, filled with red and yellow quinoa, red onion, kale, bell peppers, zucchini and tossed in balsamic vinaigrette. If you want something a little less leaf-y, request the vegan version of the BLT (sub bacon for avocado and mayo for Just Mayo).

Aloha Kitchen: The Hawaiian-themed restaurant brings its signature dishes, including their edamame to Life is Beautiful. The award-winning snack (“Best Vegetarian” at Bite of Las Vegas in 2015) is served with a choice of garlic sauce, tossed in sesame seeds and sesame oil, or simply plain with rock salt.

Bling Bling Dumpling: ling bling dumpling’s handmade dumplings don’t leave the vegans out. These little morsels vegan morsels are made with shiitake mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms, spinach, rice noodles, tofu and cabbage and topped with what Cindy Pao lovingly refers to as “crack sauce.” They also have fried organic and non-GMO tofu breaded with potato starch straight from Taiwan and served with garlic sauce.

Buldogis Gourmet Hot Dogs: Don’t let the name fool you; this spot known for their gourmet links doesn’t exclude the vegans in the crowd. Order the vegan link, made of soy. Note: skip the bun, it isn’t vegan.

Clever Chefs: Snack it here with their thinly sliced twisted chips.

Cheffinis:: Our favorite hot dog spot offers up a tasty vegan dog.

They’re serving beer battered avocado tacos, BBQ pulled jackfruit tacos, steak tacos, the famous crispy chicken sandwich (yes, you can trick your omni friends), and the Philly cheeze steak wrap. Still hungry? Desserts being dished are the New York-style Cheezecake and their signature raw chocolate cheezecake. Then, wash it all down with the Organic Jamaica, a hibiscus tea, or get the snap-worthy young Thai coconuts to make all the non-LIB people checking out your feed jealous.

Origin India: A favorite Indian in the vegan community has the Masala Dosa and plain dosa to enjoy.

Stripchezze: We’re going to let you in on a little secret. Stripchezze has a vegan option, but it’s on the DL. Ask for the vegan grilled cheese stuffed with smoked gouda.

RM Seafood: They’ve got the Freakin’ Vegan Vegetable Satay piled with veggies and served with a kale vinaigrette. They’re also selling their hot sauce to take home.

DESSERT

DonutBar: A vegan guide to the 2016 Life is Beautiful Festival in Las Vegas. For more, visit www.vegansbaby.com/vegansbaby2018The Downtown spot always has some vegan options, and brothers Jeff and Joe Thomas made sure to represent the plant-based sweets at LIB and are serving the Funfetti donut, a cake donut topped with sprinkles.

The Lab: When it starts to get too hot, head to The Lab. Check out the summery Dole Whip, a dairy-free, vegan soft serve ice cream made by Dole Fruit Company (made super popular at Disney where folks order these up). Their Hawaiian shaved ice are also vegan, so long as you skip the condensed milk.

COFFEE

Need an evening pick-me-up?

Grouchy John’s Coffee and Makers & Finders: Get an instant perk to last you into Jane’s Addiction or The Lumineers with some caffeinated beverages via both coffee shops on-site. They’ve got almond and soy milk options, and can tweak drinks to make vegan
