Ariela’s Pizza and Kosher Kitchen

Ariela's Pizza and Kosher Kitchen has vegan pizza and sandwiches! For more vegan options in Las Vegas, visit www.vegansbaby.com

Vegas cannot get enough of vegan pizza these days, and to be honest, neither can we. Just north of Summerlin Parkway, Ariela’s Pizza and Kosher Kitchen has recently opened shop serving (you guessed it) vegan pizza. Their menu also happens to be completely meat-free and we dig it. This new spot is a welcomed addition to the vegan options in Summerlin.

Created and operated by Yeshayah and Ariela Lyttle, the husband and wife team designed the entire menu that is certified Kosher and vegetarian with vegan-friendly options.

If you’re familiar with kosher food, you’ll recognize that pareve doesn’t necessarily translate to vegan. However, Ariela’s pareve “meats” are all vegan. With that, bring on the pizza!

The pizza comes Calabrese style, paying homage to the chef’s Italian roots. This dough is slightly thicker than Neapolitan pizza and made to have large, airy bubbles throughout its crust. Pizzas come in 12 inch “Katan” or 16 inch “Mishpocha” size. While all pizzas are vegetarian, the menu reflects which pies are easily made vegan by opting for vegan cheese ($2 extra).

Stick with classic pizza staples by ordering The Pepperoni, The Marguerite, or The Sausage. And don’t even try to beg for the sausage crumble recipe, this new pizza spot is keeping it a secret.

Pack on the ingredients with The Gan Eden: vegan cheese, marinara, bell peppers, onions, olives, spinach, and mushrooms or The Skokie, topped with vegan cheese, marinara, bell peppers, onions, and sausage.

Ariela’s menu even has a few not-so-common pizza combinations.

The finger-licking-good Memphis, a throwback to the owner’s hometown, is a barbecue pizza topped with vegan cheese, chicken, and red onion. The Honolulu, for all those pineapple pizza lovers out there, is Hawaiian-style with a choice of ham or bacon.

Not in the mood for pizza?

Not a problem — Ariela’s also offers vegan-friendly sandwiches with original and seasoned fries. From the classic Cheeseburger to the Memphis BBQ with shredded chicken, you’re bound to have your hands full. And The Sloppy Yosef? This kosher vegetarian style sandwich will give your mom’s sloppy joe recipe a run for her money.

Make sure to leave room for dessert! Vegan-friendly rotating treats currently include Zeppoli, fried dough covered in powdered sugar or warm, gooey Apple Hand Pie.

7595 W. Washington Ave., 89128, 702-944-4042, Sunday to Thursday: 11 a.m. – 9 p.m.; Friday: 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

After experimenting with multitudes of fads, she Kat found a lifestyle that turned out to be more than a diet. She settled in Vegas with her husband/photographer Daniel, and puppy, Layla, after traveling the world on cruise ships and living in New York City. The family recently welcomed the birth of their first child, a true vegan baby.
