Le Thai

When it comes to Thai food, we’re picky. Like, super picky. Blame it on living in Thailand for years (hey, we do). So, when we hit Le Thai for some eats, we were stoked to eat food that was above average as far as Thai goes in this town.

However, as a total Thai-food snob, it was a bit disappointing that we couldn’t get the normal curries we dig, or mango sticky rice because there was no way they could be made vegan.

In fact, most of the food we wanted, like the papaya salad and three color curry couldn’t be made vegan. But, the dishes they can veganize are good. Our favorite: the massaman curry. This rich coconut milk curry is one of the best we’ve had. And, the spicy eggplant is sensational. You can also eat most of the noodle and rice dishes.

For us, being Thai food lovers, it is a little frustrating to visit a spot that has so much good food that they can’t make vegan. Fortunately, the dishes we can eat are worth the visit and the parking and the general wait which Le Thai has that makes it worthwhile. Every now and then.
