Sambalatte expands vegan options … for a limited time

Ruse's Rosemary Sausage and Pesto Bagel Sandwich is available at Boca Park's Sambalatte for a limited time. For more on vegan restaurants in Las Vegas, visit www.vegansbaby.com

Boca Park has Hussong’s Cantina and a few other restaurants with vegan options already … and now the hot coffee shop, Sambalatte, is offering a vegan option. But, there’s a catch. It’s a test run to see how vegan cuisine fares at the Las Vegas coffee shop.

The person behind the new vegan options? Roo Abdel-Al and her popular vegan Las Vegas pop-up, Ruse Kitchen. In March, Ruse Kitchen got its first non-pop-up home inside Henderson’s Public Works and now they’re in Summerlin, too.

Starting now and continuing for a limited time — so get out there!! — Ruse Kitchen is preparing a rosemary sausage and pest bagel sandwich with nut-free pesto, a new take on their popular plant-based sausage.

“The sausage patty is a redefined version of the spicy Italian sausage served at our pop-ups,” says Abdel-Al. Putting rosemary, thyme and a touch of garlic brings more traditional breakfast flavors to our sausage, all while maintaining our 100 percent plant-based philosophy.”

Head over to now to try this vegan option at Sambalatte and show them that there’s a demand for more vegan food there.

Sambalatte in Boca Park, 750 S. Rampart Blvd; 702-272-2333; Sunday – Thursday: 7 a.m. – 8 p.m.; Friday – Saturday: 7 a.m. – 9 p.m.

Kathryn Hartwig is a senior writer for Vegans, Baby. She decided to go vegan nearly a decade ago while searching for the perfect diet to compliment her role as a professional dancer. After experimenting with multitudes of fads, she Kat found a lifestyle that turned out to be more than a diet. She settled in Vegas with her husband/photographer Daniel, and puppy, Layla, after traveling the world on cruise ships and living in New York City. The family recently welcomed the birth of their first child, a true vegan baby.
